FaceOn

Install FaceOn as an app

Open it from your home screen, dock or taskbar, in a window of its own.

FaceOn runs in your browser, so there's nothing you have to install. If you'd like it at hand, you can add it as an app: it opens in its own window, without the browser's address bar, and it's on your home screen, dock or taskbar like any other app. It's the same FaceOn, with the same account and meetings.

On a computer

  • Chrome or Edge: select Install app in your account menu (your name, at the bottom left), or under Settings, General. You can also use the install icon at the end of the address bar.
  • Safari on a Mac: in the menu bar, choose File, then Add to Dock.
  • Firefox can't install apps. Chrome, Edge and Safari can.

On a phone or tablet

  • iPhone and iPad: tap Share (on newer iPhones it's in the ⋯ menu), then Add to Home Screen. This works in Safari, Chrome and Edge.
  • Android: select Install on the card on Home, or Install app under Settings, General. You can also use the browser's menu: Install app or Add to Home screen.

The card on Home shows once. If you put it away with Not now, Settings still has the option.

Good to know

  • Without a connection, the app says you're offline and tries again when you ask. Meetings need the internet.
  • The app updates itself: each time it opens, it loads the latest FaceOn.
  • To remove it, remove it as you would any app: on a phone, press and hold its icon; on a computer, use Uninstall in the app's own menu, or remove it from the Dock.
