Is FaceOn free?
Yes. FaceOn is free and open source, with no ads and no tracking.
Do I need an account?
You need one to host meetings. To join, you don't, as long as the host lets guests in.
Are meetings recorded?
No. FaceOn doesn't record meetings, and chat isn't saved after a meeting ends.
What does FaceOn keep about me?
Only what it needs to run your meetings, such as your account and who joined each meeting, and most of it only for a while. The privacy policy lists everything that's kept and for how long, and the terms cover using FaceOn.
How long can a meeting last, and how many people can join?
It depends on how FaceOn is set up for the host. Demo meetings have limits, and Home shows them to the host, with Ask for full meetings to ask this site's admins for more.
Which browsers work?
Recent versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, on a computer or a phone. Sharing your screen needs a computer. Sharing sound needs Chrome or Edge.
How do I find something in Help?
Type what you're looking for in Search help, at the top of every Help page, and pick an article. It opens with your words highlighted: use the arrows to go from one to the next, and Clear to remove the highlighting.
Something's wrong. Where do I tell you?
Use Found an issue? on the Help page to open a report on GitHub, where FaceOn's code lives.
